Manpreet Kaur Saluja's Early Struggles and Triumphs

Manpreet Kaur Saluja, who gained fame through her role in the show Mann Sundar, experienced both the thrill of success and the pain of rejection at just 17 years old. After winning the Miss Ayodhya title, she auditioned for Prakash Jha's Aashram, landing her first role. Unfortunately, her father’s disapproval led to her missing out on this opportunity, marking a significant heartbreak in her early career.

Recalling that pivotal moment, Manpreet shared, "I can still vividly remember that time. Winning Miss Ayodhya felt like everything was aligning perfectly for me." Shortly after her victory, auditions for Aashram took place in Ayodhya, and she decided to try out without any expectations. With no previous acting experience, she described the audition as surreal. "I had no experience whatsoever. It was my very first audition, and I had never faced a camera before," she explained. The joy of being chosen for a role with lines felt like a dream realized.

Once selected, she quickly began preparations, including workshops that made her feel she had discovered her true passion. However, just days into the process, her father voiced his disapproval, which hit her hard. "That day is etched in my memory. It was the first time I went against my father's wishes, and it broke my heart," she reflected. The emotional turmoil of opposing someone she held in such high regard led to an unusual silence between them, a rare situation in their relationship.

It was a tough day for both Manpreet and her father, who attempted to console her despite his firm stance. "He kept trying to get me to eat, saying he was sorry but couldn't allow me to pursue this," she recalled. The moment that eased her anger was when he sat down to feed her, allowing her to release her resentment. Although they reconciled, the loss of the role left a lasting impact on her heart.

Looking back, Manpreet feels that experience ultimately clarified her ambitions. "That moment shaped me. It made me realize how much I truly want this, and perhaps that's why I'm still pursuing it today," she expressed. From that initial heartbreak at 17 to now leading a daily show like Mann Sundar, her journey exemplifies resilience. The role she lost became a driving force behind her determination to thrive in the competitive acting industry.
