Production Kicks Off for Farzi Season 2

The second season of Amazon Prime Video's popular series Farzi has officially started filming. Co-created by Raj Nidimouru and Krishna DK, this Hindi series has become the most-viewed Indian show on the platform. On March 7, Shahid Kapoor shared initial images from the set, where he reunited with the creators of The Family Man for the next installment of this crime thriller. He also gave fans a sneak peek of his character Sunny's look for the upcoming season. The first season, featuring Vijay Sethupathi and Raashii Khanna, debuted on February 10, 2023. Shahid Kapoor Returns to Farzi for Season 2

Shahid Kapoor has shared the first glimpses of the Farzi Season 2 set on his Instagram Stories. The initial black-and-white image captured him engaged in a serious discussion with the writer-director duo Raj & DK. The second image offered a sneak peek at the Season 2 script, although further details were not revealed, as images of Shahid portraying Sunny dominated the page. He expressed excitement about starting day one of the Hindi series.

The delay in the return of Farzi was attributed to the creators' involvement in multiple projects, including Guns & Gulaabs, Citadel: Honey Bunny, The Family Man Season 3, and the upcoming Gulkanda Tales and Rakt Brahmand. In this season, Vijay Sethupathi reprises his role as Michael Vedanayagam, a Special Task Force officer on the hunt for Shahid's character, Sunny.

Michael leads the Counterfeiting & Currency Fraud Analysis & Research Team, working alongside officer Megha, played by Raashii Khanna. Bhuvan Arora portrays Sunny's loyal friend, Firoz, while Kay Kay Menon takes on the role of Mansoor Dalal, the mastermind behind India's counterfeit operations.

Connection to The Family Man

Notably, Farzi exists within the same universe as The Family Man, which is also available on Amazon Prime Video. Several characters from the spy thriller, including Uday Mahesh as Chellam, have made cameo appearances in Farzi. Last year, Vijay Sethupathi reprised his role as Michael in the third season of The Family Man, where he played a crucial role in assisting Srikant Tiwari, portrayed by Manoj Bajpayee.

Recap of Farzi Season 1 Finale
