Exciting Halftime Show Announcement

In an exciting development for music and sports fans alike, pop icon Madonna, K-pop sensation BTS, and Grammy-winning artist Shakira are set to headline the inaugural halftime show at the FIFA World Cup.

This announcement was made by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA). A teaser trailer featuring Coldplay's Chris Martin and Elmo revealed the lineup, which also included beloved Muppet characters like Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog, who helped select the co-headliners.

FIFA has stated that the earnings from this performance will benefit the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, a significant initiative aimed at raising $100 million to enhance educational opportunities and access to football for children globally.

The FIFA World Cup Finals are scheduled for July 19 in New Jersey.

Previously, FIFA introduced halftime entertainment with artists such as Doja Cat, Tems, and J Balvin during the 2025 Club World Cup, also curated by Martin.

The last World Cup held in the United States was in 1994, which remains the most attended tournament in history. The festivities for the 2026 World Cup will commence on June 11.

Additionally, Bollywood's own Nora Fatehi is set to perform at the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup 2026 in Toronto, Canada.

Scheduled for June 12 at BMO Field, she will share the stage with renowned artists like Michael Bublé, Alanis Morissette, Alessia Cara, and others.

According to FIFA, the opening ceremony will take audiences on a journey across Canada, showcasing moments that celebrate the nation's diversity and inviting everyone to partake in this monumental occasion.
