A Historic Release for a War Epic

New Delhi: The war drama 120 Bahadur, featuring Farhan Akhtar, is poised to create a milestone as it becomes the first film to be screened across India's defense theater network on November 21.

Excel Entertainment and Trigger Happy Studios have initiated paid previews for the film starting November 18, coinciding with the 63rd anniversary of the historic 1962 Battle of Rezang La, which serves as the film's backdrop.

This gripping narrative highlights a remarkable yet lesser-known episode from one of India's most significant conflicts, where 120 valiant Indian soldiers stood firm against 3,000 Chinese troops. The trailer has struck a chord with viewers, garnering significant acclaim.

In collaboration with PictureTime and GenSync Brat Media, the film's exclusive screenings for military personnel and their families aim to close the gap between the entertainment sector and the armed forces. This initiative will also provide cinematic experiences to soldiers and their families in remote areas of the country.

Vishal Ramchandani, CEO of Excel Entertainment, expressed, "120 Bahadur pays tribute to the bravery and sacrifices of our armed forces... We are honored that the soldiers, whose spirit the film embodies, will be able to enjoy it with their families. Our heartfelt thanks to PictureTime for making this screening possible for those who serve our nation."

Sushil Chaudhary, founder-CEO of PictureTime, added, "With 1.5 million active soldiers and over six million viewers, only 30% of India's 20 million veterans and their families have access to defense cinemas... Our goal is to broaden this ecosystem to reach the underserved 70%, starting with a bang with 120 Bahadur, a film we believe will resonate deeply with the forces."

Directed by Razneesh Ghai, the film is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar (Excel Entertainment), and Amit Chandrra (Trigger Happy Studios).
