A new segment is set to air during the upcoming episode of WWE Smackdown on the USA Network, aimed at building anticipation for the next WWE Championship match at the Clash in Paris premium live event later this month.

Drew McIntyre will make an appearance on the August 15 episode of WWE SmackDown to discuss his recent confrontation with Cody Rhodes, the Undisputed WWE Champion. This segment was teased in a vignette aired during the latest episode of Monday Night Raw.

In the main event of the August 8 Smackdown, John Cena and Cody Rhodes faced off against Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre, resulting in a disqualification when Logan struck Cena with a low blow.

Following the disqualification, Logan pursued Cena backstage, while Rhodes managed to fend off McIntyre by sending him into the ring post and down the stairs.

As Rhodes was recovering from a blow to the head with the title, McIntyre executed a Claymore Kick on him just before the show ended, hinting at a potential title challenge for McIntyre.

This new segment regarding the WWE Championship will be part of a lineup that includes tag team matches featuring The Miz and Carmelo Hayes, as well as DIY taking on The Street Profits. There is also a possibility of another tag team match featuring Jade Cargill and Michin against Kiana James and Giulia, although this match has yet to be confirmed.
