Trailer Unveiled for Pallichattambi


On Easter Sunday, the highly anticipated trailer for Pallichattambi was unveiled. This Malayalam film features Tovino Thomas in the lead role and is directed by Dijo Jose Antony. The plot revolves around Tovino's character, who is tasked with defending a small village in Kerala from a ruthless police officer. The screenplay is penned by S Suresh Babu, and the film is set to hit theaters on April 10, 2026. Reports suggest that Prithviraj Sukumaran will make a special appearance in the movie, having previously collaborated with Dijo on Jana Gana Mana. Insights from the Pallichattambi Trailer


Tovino shared the complete trailer on X (formerly Twitter), providing a deeper look into the narrative of Pallichattambi. The story is set in the 1950s, focusing on migrant farming communities in the high ranges of Kerala. The village of Kunnumpuram is under the oppressive control of a menacing police chief. The villagers, led by a priest, decide to pool their resources to hire a formidable goon to confront the police officer. The trailer hints at their intention to crown him as their 'Christopher.'



Tovino emerges as their champion, guiding the villagers not only in leadership but also in preparing them for battle. Kayadu Lohar, known for her role in Dragon, plays the female lead and Tovino's love interest, while Vijayaraghavan portrays the priest who devises the plan to hire a goon. The film features a talented ensemble cast, including Baburaj, Prashanth Alexander, Mridhul Mukesh, Midhun Venugopal, Nibraz, Eldho Mathew, Josekutty, Devika Anoop, Unni Raja, Johny Antony, TG Ravi, Sreejith Ravi, Sudheer Karamana, and Siddique.



Produced by Noufal and Brijeesh along with the CCC Brothers, the music for Pallichattambi is composed by Jakes Bejoy. The cinematography is handled by Tijo Tomy, with editing by Sreejith Sarang, art direction by Dileep Nath, and action sequences choreographed by Action Sandhosh. The film will be released in five languages, in addition to Malayalam.


Tovino Thomas's Future Projects


Following Pallichattambi, Tovino will collaborate again with his Minnal Murali director, Basil Joseph, for the upcoming film Athiradi, which is currently in production. He is also set to appear in Khalifa alongside Neil Nitin Mukesh and Kalyani Priyadarshan, with rumors of Mohanlal making a cameo. Additionally, Tovino will reprise his dual roles as Michael and Maathan in the sequel to Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, titled Chapter 2.
