Before the highly anticipated release of the Infinity Castle film in Japan, a short video featuring the beloved character Tengen Uzui and his three wives will be showcased in Japanese cinemas. This unique short, produced in collaboration with Toho Cinemas, serves as a light-hearted reminder for moviegoers to be considerate of others in the theater. While a teaser has been released, only audiences at Toho Cinemas will have the opportunity to enjoy the full short, which will be screened before select films from June 20 to July 17, 2025.
Tengen Uzui Returns to the Screen
Fans of the flashy Sound Hashira, Tengen Uzui, are eagerly awaiting his return, even if it's just for a brief appearance in this short video.
The Infinity Castle film marks the beginning of a new trilogy within the Demon Slayer franchise. The official announcement was made on March 1, revealing that the film will hit theaters in Japan on July 18, 2025. In June 2024, Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment confirmed they had acquired global theatrical rights, excluding Japan and certain Asian regions.
Behind the Scenes of Infinity Castle
Directed by Haruo Sotozaki, the film features animation by ufotable, with Akira Matsushima serving as the Chief Animation Director and Character Designer. The musical score is composed by Yuki Kajiura and Go Shiina.
Currently, Crunchyroll and Netflix offer streaming for the TV anime series, the Mugen Train movie, and the latest Hashira Training Arc in both subbed and dubbed formats. According to Crunchyroll, the upcoming Infinity Castle film follows Tanjiro Kamado, a boy who joins the Demon Slayer Corps to defeat demons after his sister Nezuko is transformed into one.
The Storyline of Infinity Castle
As Tanjiro grows stronger and forges bonds with fellow corps members Zenitsu Agatsuma and Inosuke Hashibira, they confront various demons together. Along the way, Tanjiro encounters top-ranked swordsmen known as the Hashira, including Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku on the Mugen Train, Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui in the Entertainment District, Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito, and Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji in the Swordsmith Village.
During a group training session known as the Hashira Training, Muzan Kibutsuji attacks the Ubuyashiki Mansion, putting the leader of the Demon Corps in jeopardy. In a desperate attempt to protect their leader, Tanjiro and the Hashira rush to headquarters, only to be plunged into an unknown realm by Muzan's powers.
This mysterious location turns out to be the Infinity Castle, the demons' capital, setting the stage for an epic showdown between the Demon Slayer Corps and their adversaries.
