Filming Underway for Season 2
Following a successful debut season, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms has commenced production for its second season. Peter Claffey will reprise his role as Ser Duncan the Tall, also known as Dunk, while Dexter Sol Ansell returns as Egg. New cast members include Lucy Boynton, Babou Ceesay, and Peter Mullan, who will portray fresh characters in this HBO adaptation of George RR Martin’s stories. Filming for some segments of the show will take place in Belfast, Ireland, with additional shoots planned in Spain, a location also used for the original Game of Thrones. Like its predecessor, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Season 2 will consist of six episodes. Showrunner Ira Parker has indicated that the budget will remain unchanged despite the new filming locations. He expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming season, stating, “I’m having a lot of fun with season two. It’s going to be a different season, and, I hope, for the better.”
