Casting Insights from Pratham Sankalp Event
Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi as First Choices
During the Pratham Sankalp event in Delhi, Namit disclosed that Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi were the initial selections for the roles of Rama and Sita. He stated, "Nitesh was very specific about casting during our discussions. Ranbir and Sai were his top picks, and I share that sentiment. We have indeed cast individuals we believe are the best fit. Others not directly involved in this film have also contributed by bringing in talented actors who have performed exceptionally well."
Nitesh added, "I firmly believe that an artist's eyes reveal their truth. I could always envision Lord Ram in Ranbir's eyes and Sita Maa in Sai's. Beyond their immense talent, I sensed the sincerity and preparation I sought for these pivotal roles in these two remarkable individuals. I am truly delighted."
Despite battling conjunctivitis, Ranbir attended the Pratham Sankalp event, donning black glasses throughout. Sai Pallavi was present alongside Sunny Deol, Ravi Dubey, Arun Govil, Rakul Preet Singh, Vivek Oberoi, Kunal Kapoor, Ajinky Deo, and Shobana. Yash made a surprise appearance at the event, receiving the loudest applause.
