A lavish event took place in Delhi where select media representatives and dignitaries were given an exclusive preview of the trailer, receiving an overwhelmingly positive response. As the trailer launch approaches, filmmaker Siddharth Anand, who is currently engaged with Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming project King, expressed his thoughts on X, describing the trailer as 'grand' and 'spectacular'. About Ramayana

The film Ramayana features Ranbir Kapoor in the role of Rama and Sai Pallavi as Sita. Yash makes his Bollywood debut portraying Ravana, while Sunny Deol takes on the role of Lord Hanuman. Ravi Dubey will play Lakshman, and Lara Dutta is cast as Kaikeyi. Rakul Preet Singh will portray Shurpanakha, with Kajal Aggarwal as Mandodari and Arun Govil as King Dashrath. Vivek Oberoi is set to play Vidyutjihva, Kunal Kapoor will be Lord Indra, and Adinath Kothare joins the cast as Bharata. Anupam Kher will lend his voice to Jatayu. During the Pratham Sankalp event in Delhi, producer Namit Malhotra revealed that Ranbir and Sai Pallavi were always the top choices for their respective roles. He stated, "Nitesh was very clear about casting during our discussions. Ranbir and Sai were his first choice, and we have brought together a talented cast. Those not connected with us have also contributed significantly to the film.” Nitesh added, "I believe an artist's eyes reveal the truth. I could always see Lord Ram in Ranbir's eyes and Sita Maa in Sai's eyes. Their talent and sincerity were exactly what I was looking for in these pivotal roles, and I am thrilled with our choices." The first installment of Ramayana is scheduled for release on Diwali 2026, with a sequel planned for 2027.
