Anticipation Grows for Ramayana's Trailer

The eagerly awaited trailer for Ramayana is set to be unveiled soon. With a grand release planned for Diwali 2026, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has granted the trailer a 'U' rating. Notably, the trailer boasts a lengthy duration of over four minutes, offering fans a promising first glimpse of Nitesh Tiwari's ambitious mythological film. The cast includes prominent actors such as Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, Sunny Deol, and Ravie Dubey, making Ramayana one of the most anticipated Indian films in recent memory, designed as a two-part cinematic experience.

Trailer Length and Certification Details

As per the CBFC's official website, the trailer for Ramayana received its 'U' certification on July 15. The certification records indicate two distinct entries for the film's promotional content: one labeled 'Trailer - Ramayana 3D' and the other 'Theatrical Trailer - Ramayana 3D.' The first version runs for 4 minutes and 15 seconds, while the second is exactly four minutes long. It remains uncertain which version will be made available online globally, but both suggest that viewers can anticipate a richly detailed preview of the epic.

International Promotions and Release Plans

In addition, the film's producers are reportedly gearing up for a significant international promotional effort, with China identified as a crucial market. A recent report indicates that Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra are organizing a four-day promotional tour in China leading up to the film's release. Ongoing discussions with Chinese exhibitors and distributors are aimed at finalizing the campaign. If confirmed, the promotional tour will likely feature Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi.

The itinerary is expected to include a press event and a special screening at the Pingyao International Film Festival on September 24. Additionally, the team plans to conduct a multi-city promotional tour during China's Golden Week, starting October 1. The report also suggests that the filmmakers are considering a theatrical release for Ramayana in China, as Bollywood seeks to re-establish its foothold in the market after a lengthy hiatus since 2020. However, the final promotional schedule and release plans are still pending approval.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana features an impressive cast, with Ranbir Kapoor portraying Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita. Kannada superstar Yash takes on the role of Ravan, while Sunny Deol plays Lord Hanuman, and Ravie Dubey appears as Lakshman. One of the film's standout features is its music, composed by the renowned Hans Zimmer and A R Rahman, marking Zimmer's debut in Bollywood. This collaboration has already sparked considerable excitement among movie lovers. The film is planned as a two-part series, with the first part set to hit theaters during Diwali 2026, followed by the second part in Diwali 2027.
