Excitement Builds for 'Ramayana' Release Starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi
Upcoming Release of 'Ramayana'
The highly anticipated film 'Ramayana', featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash, is scheduled to premiere in theaters on November 5. This adaptation of the Indian epic has generated considerable buzz among audiences.
Ticket sales for the film commenced during Dussehra and have been met with a favorable response. In the first eight days of pre-sales, the film has shown impressive numbers.
Opening Day Ticket Sales
As reported by Sacnilk, 'Ramayana' has sold over 2.77 lakh tickets for its opening day, including blocked seats. When excluding these, around 2.22 lakh tickets have been sold.
Under the direction of Nitesh Tiwari, the film has garnered a total of ₹14.64 crore from bookings (including blocked seats), while the revenue without these seats stands at ₹11.88 crore for the opening day.
Advance Collection Insights
Despite these promising figures, the advance bookings have not reached the anticipated levels considering the film's scale and budget. Current projections suggest that the pre-release earnings could have been higher, with expectations of gross collections around ₹22–27 crore over the eight-day period.
So far, this target has not been achieved. It's important to note that 'Ramayana' has a production budget of ₹4,000 crore. A clearer financial picture will likely emerge as the release date approaches. Comparisons with Other Major Releases
Given the magnitude of 'Ramayana', its opening day earnings will be compared to those of blockbuster films like 'Pushpa 2', 'RRR', and 'Baahubali 2', which currently hold the top three box office records.
'Pushpa 2' achieved a worldwide collection of ₹275.01 crore, with ₹164.25 crore from domestic markets. It is anticipated that 'Ramayana' will exceed ₹100 crore in its opening day earnings. The film's performance during the Diwali season will be critical in assessing its box office longevity.
