The anticipation surrounding Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming film, Ramayana, has reached a fever pitch among fans. As reported by a local media outlet, Sunny Deol has a full agenda lined up for the first half of the year. He kicked off filming for an untitled action thriller in early March, produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, with shooting taking place at Film City. Directed by Balaji Ganesh, the project is nearing the end of its first schedule and includes actors Jyotika and Vijay Varma. In this action-packed film, Sunny portrays a rugged cop, complete with a moustache and beard.

The production team has been filming extensively in Mumbai, starting with an adrenaline-fueled action scene featuring Sunny and Vijay on a specially designed carnival set at Film City. Subsequent shoots took place at a Bandra bungalow, a college near Churchgate, and the Marol Police Camp in Andheri East. Additionally, Sunny has announced his involvement in a Netflix courtroom drama titled Ikka, which stars Akshaye Khanna in a significant role, and he will also appear in Lahore 1947.

He is anticipated to complete his scenes as Hanuman by the end of April before returning to the cop drama, with the next filming segment scheduled in Goa. The film aims for completion by July.

On the occasion of Ram Navami, producer Namit Malhotra shared an important update on Instagram, extending his wishes and emphasizing the story's universal significance. He expressed that the film has been crafted with a deep sense of responsibility and devotion to present Ramayana authentically and on a grand scale. He also announced that the next teaser, titled Rama, will be revealed on April 2, coinciding with Hanuman Jayanti, marking a significant milestone in the film's development. The first part of Ramayana is set to hit theaters this Diwali, while the sequel is scheduled for release in Diwali 2027.
