Emraan Hashmi's eagerly awaited sequel, *Awarapan 2*, is ready to make its debut in cinemas. The film has successfully passed the review of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), also known as the Censor Board.
Fans are excited to see Hashmi return as Shivam in this sequel, which comes nearly two decades after the first film. Joining him are Disha Patani and Shabana Azmi in prominent roles. The film is set to release next week, following its review by the Censor Board.

The Censor Board has officially approved the film, granting it a 'UA 16+' rating, indicating it is suitable for viewers aged 16 and older. The certification was issued on August 5, and *Awarapan 2* has a total runtime of 2 hours and 20 minutes, slightly longer than the original's 2 hours and 13 minutes.
Modifications Made to the Film

In addition to receiving the 16+ certification, the film underwent edits to nine scenes. The CBFC required the filmmakers to add disclaimers about drug use and child trafficking. Furthermore, adjustments were made to the language used in both the audio and subtitles.
Certain violent scenes were toned down, with one particular sequence having its intensity reduced by about 50%. Additionally, a scene showing drug use and the end credits were also modified.
