Mumbai, August 6: Emraan Hashmi is set to reprise his beloved role as Shivam Pandit in the much-anticipated sequel, 'Awarapan 2'. The film's trailer was released on Thursday, stirring nostalgia among fans who grew up with the original 'Awarapan'.
This iteration of Shivam is depicted as carrying deeper emotional scars, fueled by pain and a relentless quest for vengeance. The trailer presents a darker tone than typical Bollywood fare, immersing viewers in a cinematic experience filled with themes of revenge and redemption.
As the character has matured, he now bears the unresolved burdens from the first film. Hashmi's performance is a poignant reminder of why Shivam has remained a significant figure for two decades. The cast also includes notable actors such as Shabana Azmi, Disha Patani, Puran Gabbi, Anirudh Rawal, Surendar Vicky, Vijayant Kohli, and Atul Kumar.
Disha Patani joins the cast as Zara, introducing a fresh emotional layer to the franchise. Shabana Azmi's portrayal of Nafisa is commanding, ensuring she captivates the audience in every scene. The film promises visceral action, raw emotions, and a soundtrack that aligns perfectly with the Awarapan legacy.
The musical score for 'Awarapan 2' is rich and intricate, featuring compositions by Mithoon, Jeet Gannguli, Amaal Malik, Ankit Sachdev, and Wasif Ahmad, with lyrics by Sayeed Qadri, Rashmi Virag, Akhil Sachdeva, and Sachin Singh Chandel.
