Mumbai: Emraan Hashmi is set to reprise his beloved role as Shivam Pandit in the much-anticipated sequel, Awarapan 2. The film's trailer was released on Thursday, sparking excitement among fans who grew up watching the original cult classic.

In this sequel, Shivam is depicted as carrying deeper emotional scars, driven by a relentless quest for vengeance and redemption. The trailer presents a darker tone than typical Bollywood fare, immersing viewers in Shivam's tumultuous world.

The character of Shivam has matured and is visibly marked by his past experiences, carrying the unresolved issues from the first film. This portrayal serves as a reminder of the character's lasting impact over the past twenty years.

Joining Hashmi in the cast are notable actors such as Shabana Azmi, Disha Patani, Puran Gabbi, Anirudh Rawal, Surendar Vicky, Vijayant Kohli, and Atul Kumar.

Disha Patani steps into the role of Zara, adding a fresh emotional layer to the franchise. Shabana Azmi's performance as Nafisa is commanding, ensuring she captivates the audience in every scene. The film promises intense action, raw emotions, and a soundtrack that aligns perfectly with the Awarapan legacy.
