The recent episode of Alliance was filled with emotion as wildcard contestant Seema Sajdeh had a touching reunion with her ex-husband, actor and filmmaker Sohail Khan. The two shared significant moments on the reality show, with Seema referring to Sohail as her "only ally" within the house. During a heartfelt discussion, Sohail took accountability for the collapse of their marriage, acknowledging that his career challenges impacted his mental state and, consequently, their relationship. He expressed profound respect for Seema as the mother of their two sons and credited Alliance for facilitating their reconnection and communication after years apart.
Sohail Khan Discusses His Divorce from Seema Sajdeh
The reunion of Sohail Khan and Seema Sajdeh on Alliance became one of the season's most poignant moments. Sohail openly discussed the reasons behind their marital breakdown. Seema, in response, called him her "only ally" in the house. The conversation took a deeper turn when fellow contestant Nikhil Chinappa posed a thought-provoking question: "Aurat ghar ko bigaad bhi sakti hai aur bana bhi sakti hai. Aapke ghar mein kiska haath tha?" (A woman can either make or break a home. Who was responsible in your case?) Sohail candidly admitted that his professional difficulties had a significant impact on his personal life, stating, "At that time, kaam theek nahi chal raha tha (my work wasn't going well), so I wasn't in the right frame of mind. Because of my behaviour, I lost someone I truly loved."
He further emphasized the respect he holds for Seema despite their separation, saying, "She is the mother of my two beautiful children, so more than love, I have immense respect for Seema. This show will always be memorable for me. Although we are apart, this show has allowed us to reconnect and communicate. There was a missing link between us, and this show helped bridge that gap," he added. Seema also provided an update on their sons, mentioning that their younger son, Yohan, is supporting her on the show, while their elder son, Nirvaan, is rooting for Sohail to win.
Later, in a conversation with Zaid Darbar, Sohail shared that both sons currently reside with him. He also mentioned that Seema visits his home three times a week to spend time with the boys and still has a key to his house, showcasing the amicable relationship they maintain as co-parents.
Meanwhile, the former couple, who finalized their divorce in 2022 after 24 years of marriage, shared a warm exchange after Seema joined the reality show as a wildcard contestant.
