A Private Union Followed by a Grand Celebration

Recently, actor Callum Turner and pop sensation Dua Lipa captured public attention as they exchanged vows in a discreet ceremony at a registration office in London. This intimate gathering, which included only eight witnesses, marked the official start of their marriage. However, the couple is gearing up for a spectacular three-day wedding celebration in Sicily, Italy, to honor their new life together.

As reported by Vanity Fair, the couple reaffirmed their vows in Sicily, this time surrounded by 300 guests. The destination wedding, which is estimated to cost approximately USD 1.73 million, was held at the breathtaking Villa Valguarnera, an 18th-century estate. The evening event has been dubbed the “wedding of the year,” drawing comparisons to “the most significant wedding in Sicily since Michael Corleone’s,” underscoring its importance.

Adding to the star-studded affair, the legendary Elton John, who has previously collaborated with Lipa, attended the celebration. He delighted the couple and their guests by performing his classic hit “Your Song” on a piano set up at the venue. The festivities were further enhanced by a lively dance party featuring music from top DJs like Carl Cox, Martin Garrix, David Guetta, and Peggy Gou, ensuring the dance floor was vibrant and energetic.

The culinary offerings at the wedding were equally remarkable, with the couple opting for local flavors by hiring Michelin-starred chef Tony Lo Coco to cater the event. Guests savored a delightful menu featuring traditional Sicilian dishes such as anelletti alla Norma, panelle, and crocché, along with classic desserts like cassate and cannoli, showcasing the region's rich culinary traditions.

Before their extravagant celebration in Sicily, Turner and Lipa had a modest yet meaningful wedding at a London registry office. During this initial ceremony, they were surrounded by eight witnesses, who joyfully showered them with flowers as they exited. Turner looked sharp in a navy blue suit, while Lipa chose a minimalist ensemble, wearing a white coat and long skirt, accessorized with a hat and lilies, epitomizing elegance in simplicity.
