Dipika Kakkar Faces New Health Challenges

Renowned television actress Dipika Kakkar is currently on the road to recovery from stage 2 liver cancer. The 39-year-old star recently encountered a setback when a cyst reemerged in her abdomen, just months after she had surgery to remove a significant tumor. In March, she underwent a procedure to burn the cyst, but her latest MRI results have shown the appearance of two new cysts, raising concerns about her health status.

In a recent vlog, Dipika and her husband, actor Shoaib Ibrahim, shared updates about her condition with their followers. They revealed that during a recent MRI scan, two small cysts were identified. Due to their diminutive size, doctors have advised against surgical intervention at this moment, emphasizing the need for careful monitoring to avert any possible complications.

Shoaib explained that the MRI was conducted last Monday, which has led to an uptick in their hospital visits. He mentioned, “The MRI revealed two tiny cysts. They are so small that they wouldn’t have been detected in a CT scan, but the MRI's sensitivity allowed us to see them.” This underscores the necessity of regular check-ups in her treatment regimen.

Dipika further elaborated, “They are currently very small, so we cannot take any immediate action. We will repeat the scan in a month. This has become routine; we need to have frequent scans. We must keep a vigilant eye; if anything unusual appears in the scans, we can promptly address it, similar to how we managed the recent cyst through a procedure called RFA.”

Moreover, Shoaib announced that Dipika is set to begin immunotherapy this week as part of her cancer treatment plan. Following medical guidance, she will need to spend around five hours at the hospital every 20 to 21 days for this therapy. At the start of the vlog, Dipika openly discussed her anxiety before the MRI, admitting that she cried a lot but found that it helped her feel calmer before the procedure.
