The Incident at the Concert
Why Did Diljit Dosanjh React to Protesters?
A video capturing the incident has circulated widely on social media. Reports indicate that Diljit confronted some concert-goers who were protesting by displaying flags. While the specific reasons for the protest remain unclear, it has been suggested that some individuals were displeased with his recent appearance on The Tonight Show and his absence from Punjab during the floods.
In response to the protesters, Diljit emphasized that he attended the show to promote Punjab rather than his music or films. He clarified that his team had provided assistance to flood-affected regions in Punjab. Expressing his deep affection for his home state, he stated, "I always talk about Punjab wherever I go. I didn't promote my songs; I went there for Punjab's sake. Show as many flags as you want," he asserted. Notably, this concert marked his second appearance on Jimmy Fallon's show, having first appeared in 2024 as the world's leading Punjabi artist.
