Dhurandhar: The Revenge Takes the Box Office by Storm
The Dhurandhar franchise has captivated audiences, with the latest installment, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, directed by Aditya Dhar, hitting theaters on March 19. This sequel is on track to become the highest-grossing Indian film of all time. Fans are particularly impressed with Ranveer Singh's performance, and one of his co-stars has shared insights into how Singh balanced his demanding filming schedule while supporting his wife, Deepika Padukone, who was pregnant at the time.
Deepika's Pregnancy During Filming
In a conversation with Mirchi Plus, actor Abhay Arora, who portrays Yasir in the film, revealed that despite a hectic shooting schedule, Ranveer made it a priority to spend time with his family. "He would try to take short breaks, even if it was just a few days, to fly back and support his wife and family. His dedication to family is truly admirable," Arora stated.
During the filming, Deepika was expecting their first child, and the couple welcomed their daughter, Dua, in September 2024.

Since its release, Dhurandhar 2 has seen a growing fanbase. Recently, superstar Rajinikanth praised the film, referring to director Aditya Dhar as 'box office ka baap.' Esteemed filmmakers like Ram Gopal Varma, SS Rajamouli, and Rakesh Roshan, along with actors such as Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun, have also commended the movie.
Dhurandhar: The Revenge follows Ranveer Singh's character, Hamza Ali Mazari/Jaskirat Singh Rangi, as he ventures into Karachi, Pakistan, to become the King of Lyari and combat terrorism in India. The film features a stellar cast, including R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Arjun Rampal. This action-packed espionage thriller has been released in five languages: Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu. The Hindi version has been the most successful, grossing Rs 63.00 Cr on its 11th day, while the Kannada and Malayalam versions contributed Rs 0.38 Cr and Rs 0.22 Cr, respectively. The Tamil and Telugu versions earned Rs 1.50 Cr and Rs 3.00 Cr.
On the professional front, Ranveer is set to star in a zombie thriller titled Pralay, which will mark the theatrical debut of filmmaker Hansal Mehta’s son, Jai Mehta. Meanwhile, Deepika is gearing up for her next project alongside Shah Rukh Khan in King, directed by Siddharth Anand, and is also working on AA22×A6 with Allu Arjun, which is currently in production.
