Dhurandhar: The Revenge Breaks Box Office Records


New Delhi: The latest film by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, has achieved a remarkable milestone, grossing over ₹1,088 crore globally within its first week of release, solidifying its status as one of the most successful films in Indian cinema.


As reported by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, the spy thriller featuring Ranveer Singh garnered ₹814 crore in India and ₹274 crore internationally during its eight-day opening period, culminating in a worldwide gross of ₹1,088 crore. The net earnings in India for the week reached ₹690 crore.


The production team announced that Dhurandhar: The Revenge has set unprecedented records for daily collections throughout its inaugural week.


They stated, "This sequel to the hit film Dhurandhar has shattered all prior records, achieving the fastest accumulation of ₹1,000 crores globally, the highest opening weekend, and the best weekday retention ever for an Indian film on a global scale."


The film kicked off with a record-breaking opening weekend, amassing ₹761 crore worldwide in just the first four days.


The strong performance continued into the weekdays, with collections of ₹64 crore on Monday, ₹58 crore on Tuesday, ₹49 crore on Wednesday, and ₹53 crore on Thursday in India.


Additionally, it marked a historic achievement as the first Indian film to surpass the ₹100 crore mark in a single day for one language, earning ₹145 crore (net) from paid previews and its opening day in India.


Released on March 19, the film is a sequel to Dhar's 2025 blockbuster and is available in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.


The cast includes Singh, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi.


Set against the backdrop of Karachi's Lyari town, known for its gang conflicts and violent turf wars, Dhurandhar: The Revenge follows the journey of Singh's character, Hamza Ali Mazari, as he rises within the Karachi underworld, exploring his transformation from Jaskirat Singh Rangi, a young man into a covert operative.


The film is produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar.
