Dhurandhar 2 to Premiere Early?
As per information from BookMyShow, the film will be shown at Cinepolis: Nexus Seawoods in Nerul, Navi Mumbai, on March 18. Currently, 11 screenings have been scheduled at 15-minute intervals, starting from 5 PM and concluding at 10:45 PM. Whether this is a special preview or an official change in the release date will be clarified on March 7, as the filmmakers have yet to confirm this news.
What to Expect from Dhurandhar 2
Unverified sources suggest that Dhurandhar 2 may be followed by a third installment titled Dhurandhar: Mayhem, which is rumored to release on June 4, potentially clashing with Yash's Toxic. This date will also see a significant competition with Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Pooja Hegde's romantic comedy, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, set for June 5.
According to Letterboxd, the plot of Dhurandhar 2 is described as follows: “As rival gangs, corrupt officials, and a ruthless Major Iqbal close in, Hamza's mission for his country spirals into a bloody personal war where the line between patriot and monster disappears in the streets of Lyari.” The film features a star-studded cast including Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, Danish Pandor, Gaurav Gera, Manav Gohil, and many others.
Dhurandhar, which is set to release in December 2025, has a runtime of 3 hours and 35 minutes. Both films were shot concurrently, with additional scenes filmed in Mumbai earlier this year. The length of the second installment has sparked much discussion, with reports suggesting it could be anywhere from 3 hours and 40 minutes to over 4 hours. The director has not yet commented on this matter.
