Dhurandhar 2 Breaks Records at the Box Office

In Mumbai, Aditya Dhar's latest film, Dhurandhar 2, has made waves at the box office, raking in an impressive Rs 80.72 crore net on its second day, which has propelled its total earnings beyond the ₹200 crore threshold, as per industry estimates.

The film, featuring Ranveer Singh, kicked off with a phenomenal opening, generating Rs 43 crore from paid previews on Wednesday, followed by a staggering Rs 102.55 crore on its debut day, Thursday.

On its second day, Dhurandhar: The Revenge amassed a net of Rs 80.72 crore, bringing its two-day total to Rs 226.27 crore, according to the trade tracking platform Sacnilk.

Jio Studios, the production company behind Dhurandhar: The Revenge and its predecessor, has yet to issue an official comment regarding the film's box office success.

The sequel launched in theaters with record advance ticket sales, exceeding 1.5 million tickets sold, including those from paid previews on Wednesday.

Industry experts predict that this spy thriller could eclipse the achievements of the original Dhurandhar, which grossed an astounding Rs 1,300 crore globally following its release in December 2025.

Produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar, Dhurandhar: The Revenge stars Ranveer Singh as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, a young man who evolves into the covert operative Hamza Ali Mazari, working deep within Pakistan.

The sequel explores Mazari's ascent in the Karachi underworld while delving into the backstory of the man behind the disguise.

The cast also includes R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi, with the film being released in multiple languages: Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
