Dhurandhar 2: Ranveer Singh's Spy Thriller Shatters Box Office Records!

Record-Breaking Opening for Dhurandhar 2

Mumbai: The latest film by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar 2, featuring Ranveer Singh as a secret agent in Pakistan, has achieved remarkable success, recording one of the highest openings in Indian cinema history with an estimated first-day revenue exceeding Rs 100 crore.

The film garnered over Rs 43 crore from advance screenings on Wednesday, marking the highest earnings for an Indian film in previews, and collected Rs 102.55 crore on its opening day Thursday. This brings its total earnings in India to approximately Rs 145 crore, based on preliminary estimates from a trade tracking platform.

While official figures are anticipated to be released later, Dhurandhar 2 has already outperformed the opening day collections of recent Hindi hits, including Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan (Rs 75 crore), Pathaan (Rs 57 crore), and the horror-comedy Stree 2 (Rs 54 crore).

The film's global earnings are projected to exceed Rs 200 crore, fueled by the excitement surrounding the sequel following the tremendous success of the original Dhurandhar.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge debuted in theaters with record advance ticket sales, totaling over 15 lakh, including those for paid previews on Wednesday.

It is anticipated to surpass the achievements of the first Dhurandhar, which amassed Rs 1,300 crore worldwide after its release in December 2025.

Produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar, Dhurandhar: The Revenge stars Ranveer Singh as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, a young man who evolves into the covert operative Hamza Ali Mazari, operating deep within Pakistan.

The sequel explores Mazari's ascent in the Karachi underworld while delving into the backstory of the man behind the disguise.

The cast also includes R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi, with the film being released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
