Former Australian cricketer David Warner recently had a humorous interaction with the Barmy Army, the official fan group of England, on social media. This exchange followed some light-hearted trolling directed at Warner after Saim Ayub's disappointing performance in the final Test at Edgbaston, where he recorded two ducks.

In response to the Barmy Army's teasing about Ayub's performance, Warner cleverly referenced England's recent off-field issues, including players breaching curfew and engaging in nightlife incidents, particularly mentioning pacer Brydon Carse. He tweeted, "Hey guys, sorry the time zone got the best of me. Interesting stat. When was the last time I went 42 innings without a test hundred?? Oh do you guys still have a curfew? Asking for a mate," along with a link to his tweet.

The Barmy Army replied with a cheeky comment about Warner's struggles against Stuart Broad, saying, "Good to see you’re still nibbling outside off, Dave. Some habits die hard."

Warner's record in England has been less than stellar, with only 980 runs from 37 innings at a strike rate of 26.48, including nine fifties. Notably, he has been dismissed by Stuart Broad 17 times in 31 innings, with four ducks among them. During the 2019 Ashes series, he managed just 95 runs across five Tests, with a single fifty.
