Who is Uzair Baloch?

Uzair Baloch, as portrayed by Danish, draws inspiration from one of Karachi's notorious gang leaders. Public records indicate that Uzair's father, Faiz Muhammad, a transporter from Sistan and Baluchestan, was murdered by Arshad Pappu, the son of a prominent drug lord. This event sparked Uzair's quest for revenge, leading him to join forces with his cousin, the infamous gangster Rehman Baloch. Following Rehman’s demise, Uzair ascended to the role of gang leader, engaging in numerous criminal activities amid political strife. By 2014, he was reportedly implicated in over 50 extortion cases and linked to multiple murders during the Lyari gang conflict. He was apprehended by the Rangers on January 30, 2016, and later transferred to the Pakistan Army, only to be handed back to the police in April 2020 after three years. He was acquitted in a 2012 arms case due to insufficient evidence and is believed to still be incarcerated.
