During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Levy reminisced about his first visit to the show alongside his Schitt’s Creek castmates, including O’Hara.

At 42, Levy shared his feelings with Fallon, who expressed his condolences. “It feels like a shared grief, honestly. She was extraordinary. There’s no one like her. The immense love shown for her has been a great comfort, you know? The outpouring. It felt like everyone had a connection to her,” Levy said.
Fallon described O’Hara as “one of the most hilarious comedians I’ve ever encountered. She can embody characters, simply stunning.” Levy added, “Incredibly skilled at improvisation. One of the absolute queens.” O’Hara was renowned for her roles in films such as Home Alone, Best in Show, Beetlejuice, and The Nightmare Before Christmas.
In the beloved sitcom Schitt’s Creek, O’Hara played the flamboyant matriarch Moira Rose, with Levy portraying her son. Eugene Levy, Dan's father, played her husband, Johnny Rose, while Annie Murphy took on the role of their daughter.

“Having collaborated with my Dad for over fifty years, Catherine felt like family long before she became part of my on-screen family. It’s difficult to envision a world without her. I will treasure every humorous moment I was lucky enough to share with her. My thoughts are with Bo, Matthew, Luke, and every member of her large, loving family,” he continued.

Her publicist confirmed that she died at her home in Los Angeles after a brief illness. O’Hara’s illustrious career spanned over fifty years, beginning with the Canadian sketch comedy show Second City Television, which earned her an Emmy Award. She later starred in numerous acclaimed films, including After Hours, Beetlejuice, and the first two Home Alone movies, where she famously played the mother of Kevin, portrayed by Macaulay Culkin.
