Controversy Erupts Over Badshah's New Haryanvi Song 'Tattiri'
Police Action Following Controversy
The recent release of rapper Badshah's Haryanvi track 'Tattiri' has sparked significant controversy, prompting police intervention. Authorities in Panchkula have filed a First Information Report (FIR) due to the song's offensive lyrics and visuals, which allegedly demean women, contain obscenity, and misrepresent minors.
In light of the complaints, the police have initiated the process to issue a Lookout Circular (LOC) against Badshah, whose real name is Aditya Prateek Singh Sisodia. This action will prevent him from leaving the country, and police are conducting raids to ensure his arrest.
Additionally, the Panchkula police have successfully removed the song's video from YouTube and have sent notices to other social media platforms to eliminate the content, aiming to halt the spread of objectionable material.
What Sparked the Controversy?
The song was released on March 1, 2026, featuring the voice of Simran Jaglan, a boxer from Kaithal and the daughter of Haryanvi singer Karmbir Fauji.
Critics have pointed out that the lyrics objectify women with phrases like 'Badshah is here to carry the doli, making them all his horses,' while the video depicts underage girls in school uniforms dancing on a bus, sending a troubling message to society.
The Haryana State Women's Commission has also summoned Badshah to appear on March 13.
Various organizations and khap panchayats have expressed their discontent, labeling the song as an insult to Haryanvi culture.
Current Status
Despite gaining rapid views upon release, the song now finds itself entangled in legal issues. As of now, Badshah has not issued any official statement regarding the controversy.
