Cocktail 2: Shahid Kapoor's Latest Hit Surpasses Rs 50 Crore in Just Three Days!
Cocktail 2's Impressive Opening Weekend
Starring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna, Cocktail 2 has made a remarkable impact at the box office, achieving one of the best opening weekends for Bollywood in 2026. The urban romantic comedy crossed the Rs 50 crore mark within its first three days, despite receiving an 'A' rating, which indicates a favorable response from viewers. Following a successful Sunday, all eyes are now on the crucial Monday box office numbers, and early reports suggest that Cocktail 2 has continued to perform well on its fourth day.
Cocktail 2 Day-Wise Box Office Performance
Under the direction of Homi Adajania, the film debuted with an impressive Rs 14.10 crore on Friday, followed by a significant rise to Rs 17.15 crore on Saturday. Although the growth on Sunday was not as pronounced, it still managed to earn Rs 18.85 crore, bringing the total to Rs 50.10 crore within just three days.
With positive momentum, Cocktail 2 entered the critical weekdays. According to reports from Sacnilk, the film garnered Rs 6.35 crore on Monday, elevating its four-day total to Rs 56.45 crore, with final figures anticipated to be slightly higher. However, the film did see a drop of around 50 percent from its opening day, which, while not alarming, indicates that surpassing Rs 7 crore would have bolstered its first-week total significantly.
This film is particularly significant for Shahid Kapoor, who has been on the lookout for a successful project after his last two films, Deva and O Romeo, underperformed at the box office. A successful run for Cocktail 2 is essential for him, and current trends suggest it may fulfill his desire for a hit. This also marks the second successful collaboration between Shahid and Kriti Sanon, following their 2024 film Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. For Rashmika, Cocktail 2 adds to her growing list of successes after films like Pushpa 2 and Chhaava.
Cocktail 2 Aims for Rs 75 Crore in Its First Week
To have a shot at exceeding the Rs 100 crore milestone, Cocktail 2 ideally needs to reach Rs 75 crore by the end of its first week. With Imtiaz Ali's Main Vaapas Aaunga showing unexpected resilience in its second week and Akshay Kumar's Welcome To The Jungle set to hit theaters this Friday, Cocktail 2 must generate robust earnings over the next three days leading up to Thursday.
