Cochin Haneefa's Dream Home Finally Realized

After 16 years since the passing of beloved Malayalam actor Cochin Haneefa, his family's long-held dream of owning a home has come true. The newly constructed residence, named 'Cochin Haneefa's A.B. Manzil', is located in Vennala, Kochi, serving as a tribute to both the late actor and his father, A.B. Muhammad. Built with Haneefa's personal savings, the completion of this house is a significant milestone for his wife Faseela and their twin daughters, Safa and Marwa. The housewarming event saw the presence of close friends from the Malayalam film fraternity, including actor Dileep, who has been a pillar of support for the family during challenging times.

Cochin Haneefa's Dream Home Becomes A Reality After 16 Years

Situated in Vennala, Kochi, this three-storey residence, 'Cochin Haneefa's AB Manzil', honors his father, A.B. Muhammad, fulfilling the late actor's vision. The five-bedroom house was constructed using Haneefa's savings after enduring years of legal challenges that hindered access to his assets.

Since Haneefa's death in 2010, Faseela and their daughters had been residing in a rented accommodation in Kadavanthra. The daughters, who were only four when they lost their father, played a significant role in designing the interiors of their new home, which is filled with photographs, awards, and cherished memorabilia that celebrate Haneefa's legacy. The housewarming ceremony was attended by several notable figures from the Malayalam film industry, including Dileep and Harisree Ashokan, as the family marked this heartfelt occasion.

Daughter Reflects on Struggles and Dileep's Support

In a conversation with the media, Faseela shared that the family never sought financial help despite enduring years of difficulties. "We never reached out for assistance, not even for a single rupee. Although there were legal challenges, we managed to build this house using Haneefa's savings, just as he wanted," she stated. She also mentioned that despite suggestions from relatives to return to her hometown of Thalassery after Haneefa's passing, she opted to stay in Kochi to cherish the memories they created together. Faseela expressed her gratitude towards Dileep for his unwavering support during their toughest times. Understanding Haneefa's character, Dileep arranged for the use of Haneefa's Toyota Innova on his film sets, providing the family with a consistent income for nearly 16 years. The family's financial situation improved significantly after the legal matters regarding Haneefa's assets were settled when Safa and Marwa turned 18, allowing them to finally realize the dream home that Haneefa envisioned.
