Why is the Telugu Film 'Don’t Trouble The Trouble' Struggling at the Box Office?
Challenges Faced by 'Don’t Trouble The Trouble'
The Telugu fantasy drama titled 'Don’t Trouble The Trouble' is encountering serious difficulties at the domestic box office. After a disappointing opening weekend, the film saw a further drop in ticket sales on its first Monday, raising concerns about its future performance. Released on October 2 to take advantage of the Gandhi Jayanti holiday, the film has struggled to attract viewers.
Directed by Shashank Yeleti, this film features Fahadh Faasil in his debut lead role in a Telugu film. The plot revolves around Suri, who plans to kidnap a child from a wealthy family to pay off a debt to a gangster. However, his scheme takes an unexpected twist when he meets Divya, a young girl portrayed by Ssara Palekar, who claims to have magical powers that caused her parents' disappearance. Despite the involvement of notable figures like presenter S.S. Rajamouli and producers from Arka Media Works, the film has not been able to translate its pre-release buzz into ongoing ticket sales.
Box Office Earnings and Future Outlook
Box Office Performance and Projections
Recent data reveals that the film's earnings on its fourth day were alarmingly low, with approximately Rs 33 lakh generated across 720 screens in India. This was coupled with a modest occupancy rate of just 14 percent. By the end of its fourth day, the film's net domestic earnings totaled Rs 3.37 crore, while the gross collection reached Rs 3.98 crore.
Industry experts predict that the film may finish its theatrical run with a domestic total of under Rs 5 crore. If these forecasts are accurate, it would mark the second-lowest-grossing film for Fahadh Faasil in a lead role since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, only surpassing his previous solo release, 'Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira'. Despite significant promotional activities and elaborate pre-release events held in southern cities, the film has failed to establish a strong presence in the current competitive landscape.
