Final Stages of 'Love and War' Amidst Set Incident

Exciting developments have surfaced regarding Sanjay Leela Bhansali's eagerly awaited film, "Love and War," which is nearing the end of its shooting schedule. As the film approaches its completion after an extensive production period, a tragic event on set has also made headlines. Reports reveal that Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and Vicky Kaushal are currently filming the last song sequence at a specially designed set in Mumbai, with the sequence being crafted on a grand scale, a hallmark of Bhansali's productions.

During the shoot, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal were seen making their way to their vanity vans, while Ranbir Kapoor was notably missing from the scene. Alia dazzled in a golden sequined mini skirt, complemented by a vibrant red scarf and matching red boots, showcasing a stylish retro aesthetic. Vicky opted for a sophisticated look in a black shirt and trousers, topped with a grey coat. The opulent song sequence is expected to feature nearly 200 dancers alongside the lead actors, filmed at Mumbai's Royal Palm Studio. Bhansali has reportedly dedicated weeks to perfecting every aspect, including choreography, costumes, and set design, prior to filming.

However, tragedy struck during the filming of this elaborate song sequence when Chandradhari Singh Yadav, a 42-year-old carpenter on set, tragically lost his life due to an alleged electric shock. Several other crew members sustained injuries in the incident. In the aftermath, Bhansali Productions has reportedly offered ₹40 lakh as compensation, while the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FAI and FSMU) has sought financial support for the families of the affected workers. The situation has escalated into a legal matter, with the association's president, Suresh Shyamlal Gupta, reaching out to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for immediate action. They have requested that an FIR be filed against Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the production company, and anyone else deemed responsible following the investigation.

Legal actions concerning negligence, culpable homicide, and other pertinent charges that may arise during the inquiry have also been requested. The film industry organization has highlighted previous incidents on Bhansali's sets, including the death of worker Dinadayal Yadav during the production of "Devdas," and another worker who reportedly died around the same time. Furthermore, the association claims that worker Mukesh Dakiya lost his life during the making of "Saraswatichandra." As of now, neither Sanjay Leela Bhansali nor his legal representatives have released an official statement regarding the incident or provided further details about the tragedy. As the investigation unfolds, fans are left hoping for clarity while eagerly anticipating the release of "Love and War."
