Samantha's Anticipated Return to Telugu Cinema

Samantha Ruth Prabhu is set to make her comeback in Telugu films with the lead role in Maa Inti Bangaram. This project, directed by Nandini Reddy, is produced by Samantha herself under her production company, Tralala Moving Pictures, with Raj Nidimoru and Himank Duvvuru as co-producers. Originally scheduled for a May 15 release, the film's debut has now been pushed back to June 19, 2026, as confirmed by an official statement from the production team. The promotional campaign is already in motion, with the song Thassadiya receiving positive feedback from fans, and both the teaser and trailer generating excitement.

Reasons Behind the Delay of Maa Inti Bangaram

The production team revealed that the release was postponed to prevent a conflict with the IPL season. Tralala Moving Pictures announced that Maa Inti Bangaram, featuring Samantha, will now premiere globally on June 19, 2026, instead of the previously planned date of May 15. Promotions are actively taking place, with the song Thassadiya becoming a hit, and Samantha's lively dance performance in the music video going viral on social media. Numerous reels have been created around this catchy track.

Samantha has been engaging in promotional activities through interviews and public appearances. One notable video features her playful interaction with actor Vennela Kishore. For the first time, she has performed action scenes in this film without a body double.

Collaboration with Nandini Reddy

Maa Inti Bangaram signifies Samantha's reunion with director Nandini Reddy, following their successful collaboration on the 2019 film Oh Baby. Nandini Reddy, who debuted as a director with Ala Modalaindi in 2011, helms this female-centric action-family drama set in the 1980s. In the film, Samantha portrays a newlywed woman who initially appears to be a conventional and submissive daughter-in-law but conceals a tumultuous past and arrives with a hidden agenda. The narrative revolves around her efforts to safeguard a family that questions her when threats from her past emerge.

The cast includes Gulshan Devaiah, Diganth, Gautami, Sreemukhi, Srilakshmi, Anjali, Manjusha, and Sathyaraj in significant roles. The film's music is composed by Santosh Narayanan, with cinematography by Om Prakash. The story and screenplay are crafted by Vasant Maringanti. Samantha was last seen in the Telugu film Kushi in 2023. In 2025, she ventured into production with Subham, a horror-comedy directed by Praveen Kandregula, produced under her banner in collaboration with Kanakavalli Talkies.
