Following his role in The Ba***ds of Bollywood, Bobby Deol is set to star in Anurag Kashyap's latest project, Bandar. This intense crime drama, penned by Abhishek Banerjee and Sudip Sharma, was initially slated for a May 22, 2026 release, but has now been rescheduled.

Recently, the production team announced that the film will now hit theaters on June 5, 2026. The movie is produced by Nikhil Dwivedi and Zee Studios, featuring a talented cast that includes Sanya Malhotra, Raj B Shetty, Jitendra Joshi, and Sapna Pabbi alongside Bobby Deol.

Additionally, actors Indrajith Sukumaran, Riddhi Sen, Saba Azad, and Nagesh Bhosle play significant roles in the film. The first poster of Bandar was shared by producer Nikhil on social media, showcasing Bobby's character. The narrative revolves around a television star named Samar, whose life spirals out of control when his ex-girlfriend accuses him of rape. Notably, the film had its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 6, 2025.

In a recent interview, Anurag Kashyap emphasized that Bandar is not related to the MeToo movement. He explained that while discussions about false rape accusations may arise, the film does not delve into themes of power dynamics or sexual misconduct associated with MeToo.
