A Comical Parenting Mishap

Hollywood actor Chris Hemsworth recently shared a funny story about a parenting mistake that left him stranded at the airport. In a candid interview, he recounted how he accidentally brought his daughter India’s passport instead of one of his twin sons' while preparing for a flight.

During a chat with Elsa Pataky for Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, Hemsworth revealed that he only realized his mix-up when airport staff questioned the identification. He explained that he had mistakenly packed his daughter’s passport and tried to clarify the situation.

“I actually went to the airport once and I had my daughter’s passport instead of my son’s passport,” Hemsworth shared. “They kind of look the same.” Pataky humorously disagreed, saying, “They don’t.”

Despite acknowledging the error, Hemsworth attempted to resolve it by saying, ‘Oh, yeah, this is her.’ However, the staff responded, ‘That’s a boy. No,’ which made the situation even more amusing. Ultimately, the mix-up meant that Hemsworth and his son could not board the flight.

The couple, married since 2010, shares three children: daughter India, 13, and twin sons Sasha and Tristan, both 11.

Interestingly, Hemsworth’s children have started to take part in his professional projects. India appeared alongside him in the 2022 Marvel film Thor: Love and Thunder, playing the character Love opposite Hemsworth’s Thor. They are set to reunite in the upcoming Marvel film Avengers: Doomsday. However, Hemsworth recently mentioned that convincing India to return was not an easy task.

On an episode of The View earlier this year, he humorously stated that he had to negotiate with her before she agreed to join the set. “In the end, I had to bribe her to come onto set,” Hemsworth said. “She’s like, ‘I’m not coming! I’m not even getting paid! What am I even doing here?’”

According to Hemsworth, India changed her mind once she learned she would be compensated for her work. The young girl, who enjoys racing and riding motorbikes, became interested in whether her earnings could help her buy a new bike.
