Earlier today, KVN Productions released a public notice through their legal team, confirming that they have initiated legal proceedings against those responsible for the leak. The notice emphasized that Jana Nayagan, directed by H Vinoth and featuring music by Anirudh Ravichander, represents a significant financial investment, amounting to several hundred crores, and holds considerable value across theatrical, satellite, and digital platforms.

The statement revealed that certain individuals had illegally accessed and disseminated scenes from the film, which were subsequently shared widely on social media and messaging platforms. The production team described the situation as alarming, stressing that such leaks threaten the film's release and its commercial viability.

The notice also included a stern warning to the public, stating that downloading, sharing, or storing any leaked content from Jana Nayagan constitutes a serious crime and a violation of copyright laws. Specific platforms such as WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, and torrent sites were mentioned. The production house made it clear that anyone found involved would face legal repercussions, both civil and criminal.

The team has already begun legal action against the initial source of the leak and is actively tracking others who may have participated in spreading the material. They have also urged audiences to refrain from engaging with pirated versions of the film.

In addition to the leak, the film has been facing delays. Originally set for release on January 9, Jana Nayagan encountered certification issues with the Central Board of Film Certification. Following its initial screening in December 2025, the judging panel reportedly suggested several cuts, which means a U/A certificate could be granted once the necessary changes are made.

Recent reports indicate that the filmmakers are considering a release around Thalapathy Vijay's birthday on June 22, although this has yet to be confirmed.
