Chidambaram Poduval, the acclaimed director behind the Malayalam hit Manjummel Boys, has successfully obtained anticipatory bail in connection with a sexual harassment allegation. Earlier this month, he was charged under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 354 (outraging a woman's modesty), 354A(1)(i) (sexual harassment), and 509 (acts intended to insult a woman's modesty). The Sessions Judge KK Balakrishnan issued the bail order on March 7. The complaint was filed at the Ernakulam Town South Police Station.
