Celina Jaitly's Ongoing Legal Battle

Last year, actress Celina Jaitly initiated a domestic violence case against her spouse, Peter Haag. Recently, Peter and his father, Wolfgang J. Haag, issued legal notices to Celina, alleging defamation due to her public remarks. In response, Celina took to Instagram to share her perspective, asserting that these legal actions are intended to intimidate her. She expressed hope that the judicial systems in both India and Austria would heed her concerns regarding her joint custody and divorce proceedings.

In a series of Instagram posts, Celina disclosed that both her estranged husband and father-in-law had sent her legal notices threatening to sue for defamation. Her legal team has already responded, but she felt compelled to share her experiences since filing for divorce and seeking custody of her three children.

Celina believes these recent legal threats are a tactic to distract from her custody and divorce case, which includes police complaints, lookout notices, and allegations of violence. She stated, "Discussing my experiences and seeking legal remedies is not defamation." She highlighted that Peter had previously participated in media engagements with her and their children for publicity, but now that she is voicing her side, he resorts to legal threats. Her primary goal is to advocate for her children, expressing concern that efforts are being made to exclude her from their lives. She emphasized, "I have always supported joint custody and an amicable divorce. Yet, despite court orders, I have been denied contact with my children simply for standing up for my rights."

Celina voiced her concerns for her sons' well-being, fearing they were taken from their home and possibly moved outside the jurisdictions of Austria and India without her consent. She believes she has the right to express these worries.

Moreover, she recounted the pressure and intimidation she faced while residing in Austria, stating, "I feel there are efforts to discredit, intimidate, and silence me." Celina affirmed her determination to speak out about her experiences and to pursue her case in court in both India and Austria. She has previously filed a police report against Peter Haag in Mumbai for domestic violence, intimidation, and harassment. Celina married Peter, an Austrian entrepreneur, in 2010, and they welcomed twin boys in 2012. In 2017, she gave birth to another set of twins, but tragically, one passed away due to a heart condition at birth. The actress has since returned to India amid her ongoing legal struggles.
