Many have called on him to prioritize his health and end his fast. Notable figures from the film industry, including Shabana Azmi, Zeenat Aman, Naseeruddin Shah, and Swara Bhasker, have joined this appeal. Recently, veteran actress Soni Razdan, mother of Bollywood star Alia Bhatt, also expressed her worries. She shared a heartfelt poem on Instagram, urging Wangchuk to conclude his hunger strike and focus on his health.

On Tuesday, Shabana Azmi, known for her role in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, voiced her support for Wangchuk, emphasizing the importance of his presence in the fight against injustice. She expressed pride in his efforts, stating, "Humein aap par garv hain (We are proud of you)." Shabana urged him to end his fast, highlighting that his health is crucial for guiding students and inspiring them in their struggles.
Calls for Dialogue and Support
Previously, Zeenat Aman took to social media to call on the Indian government to engage in dialogue regarding the student protests, which she believes are vital for the future of the nation. She cautioned against allowing one of India's brightest minds to be sacrificed, stating, "India has a long history of peaceful protest; those in power must respond with dialogue." Omi Vaidya, known for his role in 3 Idiots, also shared a heartfelt video urging that Wangchuk should not be allowed to perish. Meanwhile, actress Swara Bhasker joined the protests at Jantar Mantar, with the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) praising her as "unapologetic and fearless." Other celebrities, including Abhay Deol and Naseeruddin Shah, have also voiced their support for Wangchuk.
