Cardi B to Host WWE SummerSlam 2025: What to Expect
WWE SummerSlam 2025: A Two-Night Spectacle
WWE's SummerSlam 2025 is set to be a two-night event, mirroring the successful format of WrestleMania in recent years. Fans are eagerly anticipating this fresh approach as the event returns to New Jersey. Adding to the excitement, a well-known celebrity will be part of the show, enhancing its mainstream appeal.
Recently, it was announced that Grammy-winning artist Cardi B will take on the role of host for the inaugural two-night SummerSlam, scheduled for August. Cardi B made her announcement during a vignette on a weekly WWE program, confirming her involvement in both nights of this summer extravaganza.
WWE has a history of having hosts who engage in the action, and Cardi B is no exception. Fans are buzzing with speculation about her potential in-ring participation. When asked about the possibility of Cardi B stepping into the ring at SummerSlam 2025, Triple H did not dismiss the idea. He remarked, "I don’t know if anybody can control Cardi B, let me just start with that. So, if she wants to, I think it’s gonna be hard to talk her out of it, and then what can we expect? Who the hell knows? The one thing I know about Cardi is whatever she’s gonna do is what she’s gonna do and you’re sort of, kind of just hanging onto the tiger’s tail a little bit there."
Triple H also shared that working with Cardi has been enjoyable, noting her excitement for her role at SummerSlam 2025. Cardi B has been a long-time fan of professional wrestling, having developed her love for the sport during the Ruthless Aggression Era. Interestingly, she was slated to host SummerSlam in 2021, but that plan did not come to fruition.
The SummerSlam 2025 premium live event is scheduled for Saturday, August 2, and Sunday, August 3, 2025, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The match card is expected to feature top WWE stars, including Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena, Rhea Ripley, CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Bianca Belair, WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton, and Cody Rhodes.
