SUGA's Remarkable Marathon Achievement

In an impressive feat, BTS member SUGA participated in a 12K marathon in San Francisco just hours before his concert on May 17 in Stanford, California. The K-pop star completed the race under his real name, Min Yunki, blending seamlessly with fellow runners. Videos showcasing his participation have surfaced online, highlighting his achievement as he finished 1,022nd out of over 20,500 competitors in the Bay to Breakers race.


SUGA's Marathon Journey

As reported by SFGate, SUGA woke up at 6 AM to join the annual marathon. He successfully completed the 7.45-mile course at an average pace of 8:41 minutes per mile, finishing the race in 1:04:43. After the marathon, he made it back to the BTS ARIRANG tour stop in Stanford, although he performed with a slight limp, likely due to cramping. The group is set to continue their tour with upcoming shows in Las Vegas, followed by performances in Europe and the UK, returning to North America in August.


During a Weverse livestream, BTS leader RM shared that SUGA is a dedicated runner, often completing 10K runs daily. Bandmate V mentioned that SUGA had been training hard to lose weight, while Jimin noted that SUGA's calves were swollen before the encore, causing concern among the members.
