BTS Makes a Triumphant Return with ARIRANG

After a lengthy break due to military obligations, BTS has reunited, much to the delight of their global fanbase, known as ARMY. Their latest album, ARIRANG, has not only set numerous records but continues to dominate music charts. The album has now made history by securing a position on the Billboard 200, marking it as the first K-Pop album to remain in the top three for four consecutive weeks. Fans are ecstatic, celebrating the well-deserved success of their beloved group.

Historic Achievement for BTS's ARIRANG on Billboard 200

On Sunday, Billboard revealed that BTS's ARIRANG, after an impressive three-week run at No. 1, has now reached No. 3 in its fourth week on the Top 200 Albums chart, which highlights the most popular albums in the United States. Previously, ARIRANG was the first album by a Korean artist to spend more than one week at the top of the Billboard 200, and now it has achieved another milestone by remaining in the top three for four weeks.

According to data from Luminate (formerly Nielsen Music), ARIRANG accumulated 78,000 equivalent album units in the week ending April 16. Although this reflects a 71% decrease from its remarkable debut of 641,000 units, ARIRANG holds the record for the most weeks at No. 1 among BTS's seven chart-topping albums, as their previous six releases each only topped the chart for one week.

Details on BTS's Comeback Album ARIRANG

ARIRANG has also recorded the largest opening week of 2026 thus far, competing against new releases from artists like Ye (formerly Kanye West), Melanie Martinez, and Yeat, all of which have debuted in the top 10 of the latest Billboard 200 chart.

Fans took to social media platform X to express their joy over this achievement, with one user stating, "ARIRANG is for the books. BTS returning from a four-year hiatus, stronger than ever. Congratulations BTS!" Another fan remarked, "So well deserved. BTS, you are absolute legends, and so is ARMY." The Billboard 200 ranks the most popular albums in the US weekly, utilizing a combined system of album sales, track-equivalent albums (TEA), and streaming-equivalent albums (SEA). ARIRANG was released in physical formats such as CD, vinyl, and cassette on March 27, followed by its digital and streaming release on March 28.
