Recently, fans speculated about a possible attendance at the Met Gala 2026, but a viral post suggested that Jungkook and V, who were reportedly invited, will not be present. Currently, the group is engaged in a world tour promoting their latest album, ARIRANG.

An Instagram post has gone viral, claiming that BTS members Jungkook and V received invitations to the Met Gala 2026. However, the post indicates that they will not attend due to their ongoing world tour. While there has been no official confirmation from the Met Gala organizers, the post has sparked significant discussion among fans, with many expressing disappointment over the duo's absence while others were excited to see their names mentioned.
The viral post titled '10 Celebrities Who Won't Be at the Met Gala 2026' also listed other celebrities such as Kanye West, Blake Lively, Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, Ice Spice, Kim Taehyung (V), Nina Dobrev, Bella Hadid, Jungkook, and Demi Lovato. The caption explained that some celebrities are busy, others were not invited, and a few have been banned from attending.
Meanwhile, BTS's ARIRANG world tour will be stopping in El Paso, Texas, on May 2 and 3, before heading to Mexico City. The Met Gala 2026 is scheduled for May 4.
