A racy video is going viral on the internet in which the actor can be seen making a 'dirty' gesture for the camera while dressed in a floral short co-ord set. The video looks clearly manipulated. India TV avoids sharing videos for obvious reasons.

For those who are unaware, Rashmika Mandanna was the first female star to fall prey to a deepfake video. Many stars including megastar, Amitabh Bachchan condemned the act and demanded strict action against those behind it.

Deepfake: The government springs into action
Meanwhile, Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar said the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (Meity) will develop a platform on which people can notify the ministry about violations of IT norms through social media platforms.

"Meity will create a platform through which victims can very easily notify the ministry about violations. Also, a mechanism will be created by the ministry to help them file FIRs," he said. For the unconvinced, Section 7 of the IT Rules deals with revoking the moderation status of social media platforms and taking action against them under the Indian Penal Code if they fail to follow the rules.
