A Clash of Opinions: Arjun Rampal Explains Why Shah Rukh Khan's Om Shanti Om Character Left Him 'Irritated'

He has been a part of some of the best Bollywood films over the years. But one film that fans remember him for is Om Shanti Om starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. Arjun played the role of a bad guy in the movie and did a really great job. In a recent interview with Harper's Bazaar, the actor opened up about SRK's character Om Kapoor in Om Shanti Om and called him annoying.

If you have seen Om Shanti Om then you know that the film starts with Shah Rukh Khan playing a junior artist in the industry who falls in love with top actress Shanti Priya played by Deepika Padukone. The actress is secretly married to Arjun Rampal's character who is a top producer but ends up killing both Shanti and Om. Later, SRK's character is reincarnated in a popular house and becomes superstar Om Kapoor. When asked about the relationship between SRK's character and nepotism in the film, Arjun said that the character's reincarnation as "Nepo" was worrisome. “When he (Shah Rukh Khan's character) is born a second time, he gets a nap. An inflammatory character."

He feels that if a person has a family member in the business and wants to get into the same business then it is definitely a great advantage. They will get many opportunities.
