In a show of solidarity, Bollywood actors Huma Qureshi and Saqib Saleem have lent their support to students protesting at Delhi's Jantar Mantar, who are raising concerns over alleged discrepancies in the NEET examination. The siblings, accompanied by their rumored friend Rachita Singh, took part in a march organized by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), which drew thousands of students to the capital, calling for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan due to ongoing issues in the education sector.
As soon as Huma, Saqib, and Rachita arrived, footage of their participation began to circulate on social media. One video, reportedly filmed at 2:56 AM, captured Huma in a black top and jeans, smiling as she walked alongside the protesters. Rachita, dressed in a white shirt, actively supported the cause, even briefly holding hands with Saqib, who was seen engaging with the crowd.
Fans have commended the actors for their commitment to amplifying the students' voices. Their appearance followed a similar show of support from Salman Khan, who shared a heartfelt message on social media urging against the politicization of the protests. He emphasized the gravity of the paper leak issues and expressed concern over the violence that occurred during the "Chalo Parliament" march, advocating for improvements in the education system.
Additionally, singer Mika Singh has voiced his concerns regarding the police's actions during the protests. In an exclusive interview, he highlighted that the demonstrations had been ongoing for several days and stressed that every Indian citizen has the right to express their grievances. Mika expressed his disappointment over the treatment of innocent students, particularly women, during the protests, questioning the rationale behind treating students as criminals. He condemned the violence against female protesters, asserting that it contradicts the broader call for women's safety and security in society.
