Mukul Dev's Untimely Demise

Mukul Dev, a prominent figure in Bollywood, sadly passed away on May 23. He was known for his roles in numerous hit films, including ‘Son Of Sardaar’, ‘R…Rajkumar’, ‘Jai Ho’, and ‘Omerta’. The announcement of his death shocked fans and colleagues alike. His brother, Rahul Dev, who is also an actor, expressed gratitude towards Mukul's supporters for their affection.


On Instagram, he shared, “Sincere thanks to all, for the love and kind wishes showered on Mukul… Grateful…”.


Industry Shock and Mourning


Mugdha Godse, another actor, disclosed that Mukul had been in the ICU for a week but unfortunately could not recover. She expressed her disbelief, stating, “We are still in a state of shock.”


Rahul Dev previously mentioned that Mukul passed away peacefully in his sleep, with his cremation scheduled for the same day. He shared, “Our brother Mukul Dev passed away peacefully at New Delhi last night. He’s survived by his daughter Sia Dev. Missed by siblings Rashmi Kaushal, Rahul Dev and nephew Sidhant Dev. Cremation at 5 PM.”

Mukul Dev's contributions to television were also significant, with notable roles in series like ‘Kutumb’ and ‘Kumkum’. He received the Indian Telly Award for Best Actor In A Negative Role for his performance in ’21 Sarfarosh – Saragarhi 1897′. His journey in Bollywood began with the film ‘Dastak’ in 1996, which also marked the debut of actress Sushmita Sen.
