In a conversation with a media outlet, Bobby Deol clarified that Bandar does not promote animosity towards women. He described Samar as a "flawed character," stating, "Nobody is perfect. But that doesn't mean you have committed a crime just because your morals are very uncertain. You sometimes think you're a nice person; you sometimes think you're the worst person. Human beings are flawed and what makes us better is when we control those emotions. I don't come across anyone who is perfect. Neither am I. But that doesn't make you a criminal if you have been accused. It could be a situation that you get into. Maybe you've pushed someone in a bad way to react to you like that. It's not normal but it is something that can happen to someone."
The Challenges of Playing Samar
Why was Bandar hard for Bobby to act in?
Bobby shared that taking on this role was particularly challenging for him. He remarked, "For me, it was a very challenging character to play something like this. Because usually, it would be something how I was in Animal or how I was in The Ba***ds of Bollywood. Even Ashram was a tough character to play. I enjoy it because it's not me but it's amazing, as an actor, you get to play [these] characters."
Upcoming Projects
Looking ahead, Bobby will portray Fateh Singh Lakhawat in the YRF Spy Universe film Alpha, alongside Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, and Anil Kapoor. Additionally, he is involved in Tamil Nadu CM Vijay's final film, Jana Nayagan, which is yet to be released.
