Bobby remarked, “There were several reports claiming that Alia and I had issues. However, that is not true. People tend to write whatever they wish. If I respond, it might offend them. I was informed about some comments and reacted to them.”

Discussing an incident with Manisha Koirala, Bobby recounted, “I had a disagreement with Manisha over the smell of onions. We were filming in Kodaikanal, where it was quite chilly. Manisha enjoyed eating chana chatpata, which contained onions. Chinni Prakash informed me that the next shot required her to bite my chin. I requested that she avoid eating onions. I was young at the time, and I was portrayed negatively for saying that.”
Bobby also mentioned that he intended to tease Manisha by eating onions before a scene where he had to protect her from attackers. Surprisingly, the onion smell did not seem to bother her at all.
